The Philosophy

The healthy, vital tissues of the body subtly "breathe" with the motion of life. This motion, known as "primary respiration," establishes the rhythm and movement for the entire body. When this delicate rhythm is in harmony, it's motion unhindered, we experience health and well-being.

When the natural, rhythmical movements of the body are disrupted from repeated stress due to physical, chemical, or emotional impedance, we experience symptoms of imbalance and dysfunction. CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of assessing the delicate pulses of the body's cerebrospinal fluid. Tuning into these pulses, the practitioner gently guides the patient's body back into balance, restoring the flow of "primary respiration." Treatments often allow the patient to enter a deep state of relaxation. This stimulates the body's natural healing processes.

CranioSacral Therapy is an elegant approach to healing that acknowledges the interconnection between mind, body and spirit. Both acute and chronic conditions respond favorably to CST. It complements any health care program by facilitating the optimal conditions for health, encouraging vitality and stimulating the patient's inherent sense of well-being.

What to Expect

Treatments are performed with the patient wearing loose, comfortable clothing and lying on a massage table.

You'll experience very light touch from the doctor's hands, usually beginning on your head, then addressing other areas, such as back, sacrum, pelvis, etc.

Initially, frequent treatments create a consistent balance that may then be followed by less frequent visits.
